人们常说“天下玉,苏州工”,苏州玉雕在中国玉雕行业的地位自然是不言而喻的。据考古发掘,六七千年前苏州地域已有玉石雕刻品出现。春秋时期,吴国玉工造出鹦鹉首拱形玉饰和双系拱形起脊玉饰,显示了高超的技艺水平。明清时期,苏州玉石雕刻名动海内,堪称同行业的翘楚。苏州玉雕以中小件为主,多制作炉瓶、鸟兽等陈设摆件和佩、坠、环、簪、镯等挂饰件。制作时往往采用白玉、翡翠等名贵材料,工艺精巧,手法洗练,题材内容十分丰富。玉雕制作一般要经过选料、开料、设计、雕刻、抛光等多道工序,讲究因材施艺,边设计边雕刻制作,特别是巧妙利用材质天然颜色的“巧雕”,全靠艺人匠心独运。

苏州玉雕具有空、飘、细的技艺特点。空,就是虚实相称,疏密得当,使人不觉繁琐而有空灵之感;飘,就是造型生动,线条流畅,使人不觉呆滞而有飘逸之想;细,就是琢磨工细,构思精巧,使人不觉粗犷而有巧夺天工之叹。现代苏州玉雕技艺继承“苏帮”传统的艺术风格,图案线条柔顺而富装饰性,点缀、疏密、转折、粗细均有讲究,总体上力避纤巧,在丰满之中显出浑厚朴实之意。挂佩饰件的构思尤为独特,玉雕艺人将丰富的生活感悟和现代审美情趣自然蕴涵其中,古韵今风,更见功力。自古以来,留下许多名家大师的玉雕作品,在当代玉雕界也有许多名家大师擅长此道,侯富博便是其中一位。

侯富博,苏州优秀玉雕青年艺,2006-2010年间师从多位玉雕大师学习玉雕技法;而后从事白玉、南红的创作与加工,主攻人物、动物等题材,擅长巧雕,苏派玉雕自古以来以巧雕著称,巧雕之巧,于形态,于颜色。候富博作品集成了苏州玉雕构思巧妙、做工精细的特点,同时注重不同线条的运用和搭配。风格上保持传统玉雕设计的同时融入自己“承先人之技艺,扬我辈之新风”的创新理念,创造出符合当代审美的作品。

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Suzhou's jade carvings were famous at home and abroad, and were considered to be the best in the industry. Suzhou jade carvings were mainly small and medium-sized pieces, mostly made of vases, birds and beasts, and pendants, charms, rings, hairpins, bracelets, and other hanging ornaments. The production of jade carvings often uses white jade, jadeite and other precious materials, and the craftsmanship is exquisite and skillful, with a rich variety of themes and contents. The production of jade carving generally goes through a number of processes, such as material selection, opening, design, carving, polishing, etc., paying attention to the material to apply the art of designing and carving, especially the clever use of the natural color of the material "skillful carving", which relies on the ingenuity of the artist.

Suzhou jade carving is characterized by empty, floating and fine techniques. Empty, that is, proportional to the reality, sparse and dense, so that people do not feel cumbersome and have a sense of the ethereal; floating, that is, vivid modeling, smooth lines, so that people do not feel stagnant and have the idea of floating; fine, that is, fine work and exquisite conception, so that people do not feel rough and have the sigh of ingenuity. The modern Suzhou jade carving technique inherits the traditional artistic style of the "Su Gang", with soft and decorative lines, embellishments, sparseness, twists and turns, thicknesses and details, and overall avoidance of slenderness, which reveals the meaning of richness and simplicity in the midst of plumpness. The conception of the hanging pendants is particularly unique, and the jade carvers have naturally incorporated their rich sense of life and modern aesthetic sensibilities into them, making the ancient rhythms and modern styles even more impressive. Since ancient times, many famous masters have left behind their jade carvings, and in the contemporary jade carving world there are also many famous masters who specialize in this field, and Hou Fubo is one of them.

Hou Fubo, an outstanding young jade carver from Suzhou, studied jade carving techniques under several jade carving masters between 2006 and 2010, and then engaged in the creation and processing of white jade and southern red, mainly focusing on figures, animals and other subjects, and specializing in skillful carving, which has been known since ancient times for its skillful carving, and the skillfulness of skillful carving lies in the form and the color. Hou Fubo's works integrate the characteristics of Suzhou jade carving, such as ingenious conception and fine workmanship, while focusing on the use of different lines and matching. His style maintains the traditional design of jade carving while incorporating his own innovative concept of "inheriting the skills of our ancestors and promoting the new style of our generation" to create works that conform to contemporary aesthetics.

近期我公司有幸征集到侯富博的和田玉籽料作品“普渡众生”,藏品为聚红皮和田玉籽料,籽型饱满完整,皮色层次丰富,色调过渡自然,局部伴有天然僵棉黑点及由浅到深的绺裂。整体玉色微微闪灰,玉质细腻油润,肉眼不见结构,采用镂雕、浮雕等技法,精琢一观音山子。观音高髻盘发,体态柔美,坐姿优雅,面容慈祥,手持法器,普渡众生。两旁山石嶙峋,松树葱郁,枝干虬曲苍劲。侯富博以玉代纸于方寸之间挥毫,将国画中既生于意外,又蕴于象内的意境表现的淋漓尽致,实乃当代玉雕收藏的典范。
